The Friends of Oleta River State Park Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit citizen support organization (CSO) that sponsors events, raises funds, and advances the goals of Oleta River State Park.
Oleta River State Park is one of 171 State Parks in Florida, a park system that welcomes over 25 million people yearly and also has uniquely won the National Gold Medal Award for Excellence three times. As a park system of over 800.000 acres under management, State funding often falls short.
The Friends of Oleta River State Park is the official and only CSO working steadfastly to bring in funding dollars - which always are guaranteed to go directly to Oleta for improvements and enhancements. We actively lead events and initiatives to bolster community involvement - individual and corporate - through volunteering and the investment of time and money, in order to assure the best protection and conservation of our Park's natural resources.
