Holiday Fundraising + Volunteer Event We will be celebrating the holidays + garden fundraising with the launch of our new: Biodiversity + Wildlife Conservation Club!!! Starbucks is generously donating coffee + we'll make warm & cold holiday coffee drinks - for a small donation OR if you can bring us one invasive plant or litter! Our volunteer focus will be REMOVING INVASIVES...two of the top BAD species at Oleta are FAB for holiday decorating. We'll have your ECO-FRIENDLY pine greenery + mini trees, plus Brazilian Pepper leaves w/ berries (some people are sensitive to the leaves as a caution), which are harmful to natural and restored habitats at the Park but great for INDOORS to bring red berry delight to your yule decor! We will have many festive activities + volunteering at the White Ibis pavilion (lot #1) AND in the Butterfly Garden area (W of lot #6). Our #YoungFriendsofOleta will be ringing in holiday cheer via holiday music + song... We'll post the schedule and info on our new BWC Club this coming week!
