The Friends are hosting a muti-target/tasking event on October 10 aimed at boostng biodiversity at Oleta. This Saturday we will cleanup Oleta's shorelines plus weed and plant more natives in the Butterfly Garden. We are joining with about 40 students and teachers representing the Science Honors Society Club from Miami Norland Senior High.

We will begin @10:00AM at the Panther pavilion (parking lot #6). Please proceed E over the small bridge and then S to the Panther pavilion.

Please register on Facebook via this link:

Or contact the Friends directly to register or for more information: oletaspfriends@gmail.com

It is best to wear solid shoes/sun protective clothes/hat/ sunscreen and gloves. Please bring a REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE for cold water refills. We also ask you to bring at least one glove (can be from garden, kitchen, plastic, etc) because trash pickup can be messy and we'll also be digging in the dirt!

We are looking forward to seeing you at Oleta this Saturday!!

And, again, don't forget: NO SINGLE USE PLASTIC bottles allowed at this litter-free event so please bring a resuable cup or bottle for cold water.

COMMUNITY SERVICE credits available to students volunteering. Kids under 15 MUST be supervised by adult.
